Families in extreme poverty
82% of the population in Venezuela lives in extreme poverty and some families have to look for food in the trash to survive says the AIS Foundation. A man who was looking for food in the trash says that he works, but that, with the salary he receives, he can not feed his children and has to look for the food in the trash. The situation in Venezuela is growing more difficult, with the economy in rapid collapse and an increasing number of people plunged into absolute poverty.

Volunteers prepare soup at the home kitchen of one of the volunteers to be donated. According to a recent study by three Venezuelan universities, 93 percent of this OPEC nation's residents do not have enough money to buy sufficient food and 74 percent have lost around 18 pounds (8 kg) in the last year alone.
